Mature Beauty: Joyce Glasgold

Joyce Glasgold is the lady we all aspire to be. She is one of those women who possesses the amazing combo of beauty and brains. "Grandmere", business executive and community socialite, Joyce has been an advocate for urban redevelopment, the arts and breast cancer research.

In her spare time, Joyce serves on the Board of Overseers of the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, heading up the Development Committee. She is a great cook, an avid reader, and has traveled extensively throughout the world.

What is your skin care routine?
I use the Ellen Lange Peel Prep - it's the first step of her Retexturizing Peel Kit. Then, I use the Ellen Lange Retinol Smoothing Serum and Eye Brightener.  I use the Daytime Moisturizer, which has an SPF of 15. 

Favorite products? 
MAC eyeshadows are the best. Their colors are intense and they stay on all day. I use Lancome Imanance Tinted Day Creme SPF 15. For my hair,  I have very wavy hair and use Drench shampoo & conditioner for moisture.

What is your favorite skin care treatment?
A professional microdermabrasion treatment followed immediately with a collagen mask.

What is your number one beauty secret?
I LOVE the Peel Prep - it is the first step of the Retexturizing Peel kit.  I use it every single morning in the shower. Also, never forget sunscreen.

How do you stay so fit?
I have had the same trainer for over 15 years. I work with Bill Mejia of bodhisattvayoga.com  I am committed to full body training two times weekly and I walk everyday for 30 minutes.

On her style ...

How would you describe your own style?
I purchase things that are classic with an edge. I like to keep up with what's happening, but nothing too trendy. I live in my J Brand jeans.

Favorite place to shop?
I am still on the search for the perfect store. I shop around, but I do like Barneys, Bloomingdales and Zara for trendy seasonal updates.

On travelling ...

Favorite vacation spot?
St. Martin because I go with my family.

What do you like to do while on vacation?

Love to just wander around cities and shop in the local stores and always keep an out for the local artist.
