@RiddhisSkincareChronicles An Unlikely Skinfluencer

@RiddhisSkincareChronicles considers herself an unlikely candidate to have become a successful skincare influencer.  She is Indian, has a double Bachelors degree in Neuroscience and Chemistry and has been focused on building her career as an IT (Information Technology) professional.

Riddhi is inquisitive, has a passion for skincare and loves photography!  Riddhi  told us that she is still shocked with her rapid Instagram growth and feels such gratitude to her loyal followers.

Describe your life
Between juggling my career and being a mom to a toddler, my life is extremely hectic. My husband is amazing and super supportive. He understands my commitment to my Instagram. I do spend an enormous amount of my free time researching and testing out products.

When or why did you start your Instagram or blog?
While I was pregnant with my daughter I developed Melasma - huge patches on both my cheeks, my neck and my forehead. It freaked me out!  There was nothing I could do while I was pregnant and nursing my baby. I researched and documented my journey. I shared my findings on Instagram and became part of this amazing skincare community.

What are your own skin concerns and what has helped you?
I am all about the science and what works for my skin! I have really resilient skin and I can tolerate pretty much anything and everything.  I do focus on my skin concerns which are melasma, acne scars, fine lines (perks of late thirties).  My skin is super dry, so I am always exploring products for hydration.
The sure shot products that work for me are  Ellen Lange Retexturizing Peel, Murad AHA BHA Cleanser, BeautyBio Retinol  Booster and Volition Stawberry C serum.

Who was your inspiration for your Instagram?
It was @ArshiaMoorjani who is a NJ based Indian American influencer and she is amazing!

What do you not leave home without (beauty or fashion)?
In my purse, I carry this ziplock bag with a cleanser, vitamin C serum, moisturizer, sunscreen and lip balm. I even keep duplicate sets in my bathroom and in my desk drawers at work.

Do you have a beauty or lifestyle philosophy?
Just enjoy what you do and use the products that work for you! Your sanity is not worth anything or anyone! Listen to your skin and your mind. Take care of yourself first and foremost!

What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?
I always drink a huge glass of water and apply my lip balm. Also I always make sure I have my water bottle on my night stand!

What is your favorite way to relax?
Masking with my toddler. She's a big skincare lover too and will not hesitate to  tell you to put sunscreen on before going out in the sun. I love to relax with long hot shower and a luxurious skincare routine!
