It’s hard not to feel immediately drawn to the world she has created through Go French Yourself , an extension of Samantha’s wildly effervescent lifestyle.
She truly aims to inspire the everyday woman and believes every girl, no matter where she is in the world, has a bit of that wanderlust spirit inside.
What do you do when you are not blogging?
I blog full-time, but also have a little digital media business with a friend. I work non-stop, but wouldn’t have it any other way. I am about to start writing a children’s book, which has been a life long dream! I am also a contributing writer for Travel Fashion Girl.
Anything about where you live that influences your skincare routine?
Tulsa has become more and more humid every year and my skin is definitely more oily. It has made me self-conscious about my pores so I find I have added pore refining treatments to my regimen.
Why did you start your blog?
My friends where always asking me questions like: How did you do that? What is that recipe? or How did you style that?
And all of a sudden I was spending hours each day sharing how-to's and life hacks. With a little encouragement from my friends, Go French Yourself was born -- VOILA!
What was your inspo for your blog?
I consider myself a style-savvy globe-trotter. I’ve spent most of my professional years dedicated to the beauty and fashion industry as an account executive for many high-end beauty lines including Aveda and Davines. I also owned my own designer and vintage eCommerce boutique.
It was a natural progression to start the blog and share what I have learned.
What can you not leave home without?
Sunglasses and hand cream! I travel with good bronzer too. I have not been wearing makeup much and it’s so refreshing to be comfortable in your own skin.
Do you have a beauty or lifestyle philosophy?
Less is more! It is really the philosophy of Go French Yourself and it transcends though my stories about entertaining, food, style, skincare, beauty, travel and everyday life.
Who is your favorite beauty guru or blogger?
Garance Doré hands down!
Do you have entrepreneurial role model?
My boyfriend of almost nine years. He started a company at the age of 30 and has already successfully retired. He is a genius and I am so fortunate to have his knowledge everyday. I strive to make him proud!
What is the last thing you do before u go to bed?
Brush my teeth, wash my face, and kiss my love and pups!
What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Lemon water. Coffee. Meditate. I have made it a priority to not rush into grabbing my phone to check email.
Favorite way to relax?
In a hot bubble bath while doing an Ellen Lange Peel and reading Vogue. I also love nights on the sofa with TV and movies.
