This Ukraine Girl Really Knocks Me Out

Although the Beatles never made it to Eastern Europe, McCartney & Lennon had some idea about the beautiful women "Back In the USSR". Iryna of Beauty Benefits posts from Ukraine and she is considered a top beauty pro.  Her videos are an international source for skin care and beauty.  Iryna's BeautyBenefitsTV channel is heading towards 700,000 views and she has almost 6,000 YouTube subscribers.

"I’m from Ukraine, but I speak Russian in my beauty videos. As Ukraine was a part of USSR, most people here know and speak Russian. Most of my views are from Russia and Ukraine, but anyone who knows Russian can watch my videos. I also get a lot of views from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova and other CIS countries.

Ever since I was little, I always knew that I loved makeup. I did my first makeup secretly at the age of five using my mom’s products. Needless to say it was awful, but once it was on my face I felt like completely different person. As long as I remember myself, I’ve always been creating different looks and outfits. I used to work as a model at the age of 16, but I quit because there was no room for creativity and I knew I needed it. Five years after that I graduated from University and got a degree in teaching. Again, it was not the most creative job in the world so I kept searching for other options. I discovered YouTube and the whole beauty community just in time. I fell in love with the whole concept behind it and instantly understood that I can combine all of my knowledge there. I still can teach, but I can also be a part of the beauty industry. Now I have a blog and YouTube channel and I also work as a makeup artist. The great philosopher Confucius once said: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life and I’m thankful I did."

What is your philosophy about your style & lifestyle?
"My philosophy about my style is that you can do whatever you want as long as it makes you happy. I don’t believe that we should only wear certain colors or only stick to the new trends. Makeup and clothes are created for you to express yourself. Don’t live by the rule: I can never pull this off, as long as you think that you never will."                                                                           
                                                                   
What are your favorite skin care treatments or beauty products?   
"My favorite beauty product is eyeshadow. When you look at the person, the main focus is always on the eyes. And when they have dimension to them it looks beautiful. What is the first thing you do when you get up? What is the last thing you do before you go to bed? 
"The first and the last thing I do every morning and night is cleanse and moisturize my skin. Most people think that if you cleanse your skin before you go to bed, there is no sense in cleansing it in the morning. But it is actually not true. We may not have to clean it from makeup or dirt, but it’s definitely better to wash off excess oils, sebum or any cream residue."
