Phyrra is total Eye Candy.  She is an award-winning cruelty-free beauty and alternative fashion blogger. Her hair, eyes and lips express her bold style, love for the cosmetic industry and her addiction to sci-fi & fantasy books. 

What did you do before beauty blogging?
I spent over 10 years working in the video game development industry and working in social media. Now I split my time between blogging, social media and being a managing editor for a company. I work from home and I set my own hours. It makes me really happy.

When did you first color your hair and what inspired you?
When I was about 17 or 18 years old. I knew I wanted purple hair for college, so I made it happen.

Tell us about your hair obsession.
I'm obsessed with all forms of rainbow hair! Long hair, short hair, curly hair, it doesn't matter. I love to see all the different styles out there. I find a lot of inspiration from European hair stylists as they seem to excel at cutting-edge designs and techniques. Seeing rainbow hair makes me happy.

What are your own skin concerns and what has helped you?                                                                       I have sensitive, rosacea skin. Once diagnosed, I started using prescription Metrogel. I've been able to keep my flare-ups minimized and I've been happier with my skin.

Since you are you such a Pro, do you "DYI" or go to the spa?                     I actually love to to go the spa to get my brows and underarms waxed. 

What's your style with cosmetics?
I rarely do the natural look. I favorite fun, bright colors. I really like to mix textures like mattes with duochromes or shimmers.

What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?
First I remove my makeup and then I cleanse my face,  I like to use a retinol serum and moisturizer for combination. 

Why won't you review brands that sell to China?                                                 The Chinese government requires animal testing on all imported cosmetics. I don't review brands that test on animals because I find it deplorable. There are many safe, approved ingredients available for use in the creation of cosmetics (and yes they were tested decades ago to prove their safety). There is no need to continue to hurt animals. Additionally, there have been many advances in science that have created safer, better testing methods that more accurately show whether or not an ingredient will harm a human.
