What do you do when you are not blogging?
If I'm not blogging, you'll find me promoting the destination that we call in tourism, "The Palm Beaches." I'm passionate about my career, because I know the benefits and economic impact that a healthy tourism industry has for the slice of paradise that I'm lucky to call my home. My favorite parts of my job are working with journalists and other bloggers to tell our story, and actually getting to experience all of the fun activities that tourists enjoy.
What can you not leave home without (fashion or beauty)?
My go-to beauty item that I recommend the most is a set of magnetic eyelashes. They're so quick and easy, and they instantly elevate your look to ultra-glam! Also, it may seem a little over-the-top, but I frequently pack halo (flip-in) extensions in my car. That's why you'll see me with short hair one day and long hair the next.
Do you have a beauty philosophy?
My beauty philosophy has always been to let your natural beauty shine through. Although I tremendously admire the beauty bloggers who do the "full face" makeup looks regularly, I personally prefer to enhance my face with a less-noticeable amount of cosmetics. That's why I believe good skin is the foundation of a beautifully-made up face.
Who is your favorite beauty influencer?
I have always admired Kandee Johnson, because not only is she a certified makeup artist - she is full of personality and so fun to watch on YouTube. I was fortunate to win the Today Show Social Star contest for YouTube, and she actually became my YouTube mentor! When the show's producer told me I was going to be meeting her, I screamed in excitement, because I had been watching her ever since she started making videos.
What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?
Right before I go to sleep, I make a point to use a water dental flosser. I just got my 2nd round of braces off, and this round corrected my underbite. I made a lot of YouTube videos about my journey with braces, and I want to maintain my oral health because it was so much work to fix my teeth.
How do you relax?
My favorite thing to do is to go snorkeling. We're probably not supposed to play favorites in the tourism world, but I can't help myself - it's so magical being underwater, and where I live has the world's best snorkeling. It feels like I'm in a secret world, and it's also great exercise.
